Some people just don't have a GUID. And I don't know exactly how to fix it. Sometimes getting an etkey works. And sometimes it works to restart the game.

But sometimes it doesn't.

So, can someone tell me, once and for all, how to get someone a GUID?

Go to: freeguids.com than see the location of the office of the manager at the about us tab it will be somewhere in Asia than take a plan to the location ask for a set of free guids, take a plane back and give guids to people without a guid.

go to etkey.org
download a new e.t key and follow the instructions there.

- Open notepad, leave it blank, save to etmain as etkey.txt.

- Go to control panel - folder options - View (sub category) - Hide extensions for known file types (leave it unmarked). And I assume you have at least Windows as your OS.

- Remove the extension .txt from etkey and leave it just etkey. Now start your ET.exe and try it out.

- Type \cl_guid into the console to see if you really have a GUID. If not, then I'm just shocked man...
